Services
Concrete pumping is a fairly new in Fiji first introduced
by Standard Concrete back in 1998. The company now operate
a fleet of two 30m-reach boom pump and an 18m-reach boom pump.
The pumping service has quickly become very popular amongst
the local building contractors as they now start to realise
its benefits. There is less wastage, there is a lower risk
of concrete going off before placement, less reliance on a
big workforce work is done in less time.
The money saved in using concrete pumps far outweighs the
cost of hiring the pump. The big boom pump is capable of pumping
up to 8 stories high.
SCI Ready Mix concrete can be designed to be placed by pump,
and concrete pumping equipment. Advantages of pumping include
the placement of high quality concrete of uniform consistency
faster than normal into areas not readily accessible by other
means.
Pumped concrete is flow able yet high cohesive to allow to
easy placing, compaction and finishing. It is specifically
formulated for pumping without segregating and with minimal
bleeding and also keeping water-cement ratio within limits. |

Mobile Crushing Plants & Mobile Concrete
Batching Plants
Due to the scattered nature of the local construction market,
both within the main islands as well as inter island, Standard
Concrete provides mobile crushing and mobile concrete batching
services for the convenience of its clients.
Many major construction projects around the
country are located in isolated areas where the establishment
of mobile plants on site become the more economical options.
Major road construction and civil projects
completed in the past involved the subcontracting of the entire
concrete and aggregate supply directly to Standard Concrete.
